Infinity 243 for the Ascension Lutheran Church, Wichita, KS.

When Ascension Lutheran Church in Wichita, Kansas completed their new sanctuary in the late 1970s a new 24 rank Wicks pipe organ was installed in 1979.

David Rankin, owner of RankinOrgans150, began discussions with the church concerning mechanical and tonal issues with the pipe organ in the fall of 2013. Following several demonstration trips to existing pipe combination installations, the organ committee agreed that replacing the original Wicks console with a Rodgers Infinity 243 would be the best option for the church.

Installation was completed in March of 2015 and the organ continues to amaze and inspire all who hear it and those that play it. This large and influential Lutheran Missouri Synod congregation includes a significant graded music program with a 50+ member adult choir, handbells, and members of the Wichita Symphony…and they chose Rodgers.
