Noel Suisse – Louis-Claude Daquin performed by Joel Anderson (Imagine 239 Performance)
Enjoy this wonderful Christmas performance of Noël Suisse by Guest Organist Joel Anderson.
Louis-Claude Daquin was a French composer, virtuoso organist and harpsichordist. One of his twelve published Noels, "Noel Suisse" has attractive dialoguing and solo lines featuring baroque stops of the Rodgers Imagine 239 organ.
Our guest organist, Joel Anderson, set the organ's tuning to one of its historic temperaments, Meantone, for this delightful performance. Rodgers Organs have 9 historical baroque temperaments. These tunings differ from the modern-day Equal temperament which allows playing in all major and minor keys. All Rodgers organs use Equal temperament as a default setting.
The Imagine 239 is the perfect two-manual drawknob organ for small churches, homes, or any music program seeking world-class tonal accuracy in a modern instrument.
