The Organists of Tomorrow

Words cannot express how important the "organists of tomorrow" are to keep the tradition and beautiful music of organ playing relevant into the future.

Rodgers encourages church organists and performers to invite young musicians to try out the organ. There they will enjoy the majestic, powerful sounds at their fingertips. They will begin and strengthen their admiration of the organ. They will revere the organ as a ‘user-friendly’ and FUN instrument! This is our future, and it is why we do what we do.

Peggy Dahl-Bartunek, our dealer for Rodgers Classic Organs (representing areas in Minnesota and Wisconsin), is the organist for The Church of the Epiphany in Coon Rapids, MN.

Peggy offered a very successful series where young musicians are invited to stay after Mass to try their piano pieces on the Rodgers Infinity 489 organ. Great fun! A mom asked if she could try “Für Elise” and of course she said "Yes!" Kids of all ages are welcome!

While Dan Miller was on a concert tour to Australia, our Rodgers representative Kerry Morenos of Principal Organs scheduled some school visits for Dan to introduce them to the organ and students were invited for an ‘all hands on’ experience!

It is wonderful to see young people being introduced to the organ and encouraged to "try it out." Rodgers is proud to support our young musicians today, so we have pianists and organists in our future.
