Summer Video Shoot

Late last June, we spent a week traveling in the midwest to record some phenomenal organ performances!

Our adventure began in Kansas City, where we were warmly welcomed at the Resurrection Methodist Church. This stunning facility boasts a massive worship hall, and it was a true pleasure to tour the compound. We met many of the wonderful individuals who contribute to such a significant and impactful organization. Their passion and dedication were truly inspiring.

Gerald Oehring, our local dealer in Missouri, played an 'instrumental' role on-site, eagerly answering questions and providing invaluable insights into the intricacies of the organs. His expertise and enthusiasm made our visit even more enriching.

Throughout the week, we were kept busy with a packed schedule, all while enduring the sweltering summer heat. Despite the hectic pace, we carved out some time to explore downtown Kansas City. On our final night, we immersed ourselves in the local culture, which, of course, included indulging in some classic “Kansas-City-Style” barbecue. The smoky, savory flavors were a perfect end to our stay in this vibrant city.

After heartfelt goodbyes to our Kansas City hosts, we boarded a flight to Minneapolis. There, we were graciously received by Peggy Dahl-Bartunek of Rodgers Classic Organs. Peggy extended her warm hospitality by opening her home to us, making our transition to Minneapolis smooth and welcoming. Her kindness and generosity set the tone for another leg of our memorable journey. While they were fighting flooding in southern Minnesota, Minneapolis welcomed us with beautiful weather.

This trip was not only about recording exquisite organ performances but also about connecting with the incredible people who share our passion for music. Each interaction and experience left a lasting impression, and we are grateful for the opportunity to engage with such a dedicated community.
